For Essential Care, coverage begins immediately after enrollment.
For Performance Care and Elite Care, coverage begins after completion of the system enrollment and activation process. If your system is operating normally and reporting without active errors, coverage will typically begin immediately following signup.
Systems with active faults, production issues, monitoring failures, or known equipment problems may require a separate diagnostic assessment before membership eligibility can be confirmed.
- 02
A System Assessment is only required if a system has active errors, monitoring failures, production issues, or unresolved equipment concerns. In these cases, a one-time diagnostic visit is needed to restore the system to a supportable condition before ongoing membership coverage can begin.
Systems operating normally can enroll and activate coverage without delay. Essential Care members do not require a System Assessment.

Covered labor includes standard diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair work commonly required to maintain normal solar system operation. This typically includes issues such as monitoring and communication failures, inverter or gateway diagnostics, CT and metering corrections, production verification, fuse and disconnect replacement, and general electrical troubleshooting related to system performance.
Covered labor does not include materials or equipment, nor does it include major system modifications or specialty work. This includes, but is not limited to, roof repairs or roof penetration work, panel removal and reinstall for non-service-related construction, system redesign or upgrades, electrical service upgrades, battery installations, permit or utility interconnection work, or any structural or construction-related repairs.
If additional work outside of standard service labor is required, we will always provide a clear explanation and written approval request before proceeding with any additional charges.

Manufacturer warranties typically cover the replacement parts, but they do not always cover the labor required to diagnose the issue, travel to your home, remove the failed equipment, install the replacement, and recommission the system.
In cases where the manufacturer does approve labor reimbursement under warranty, Solar Asset Service will pass that reimbursement back to you from the manufacture.
If you're enrolled in our Performance Care Membership, your monthly payment covers the standard labor for covered service visits while your membership is active. The membership is designed to provide ongoing support, priority service, and long-term protection for your solar investment—not just replacement parts.
